Lazy, Hazy, Crazy, Dayz of SummerÂ
Remember those crazy, happy (miserable?) days of summer camp?  Crafts – wood burning. Braiding plastic laces into keychains. Painting plaster models. Canoeing (if there was a lake), songs, camp fires, ping pong tournaments, swimming, volleyball games, softball, boyz, girlz, juvenile summer romances – and so much more…Â

SCHEDULE: Â Â
July 13, Thursday morning or July 11, Tuesday evening – Welcome:  Campfire – stories and songs
Welcome songs and campfire:  hot dogs, (S’mores). These and other necessary ingredients for growth and companionship. As we gather round the campfire (computers) we will share familiar stories that have an Enneagram component - told from a fresh perspective. Our personality - what we do and why.  Discussion and implications of two ways of looking. Bring your own story and share. Singing optional.Â
Â
July 20, Thursday morning or July 18, Tuesday evening – Canoeing
Using provided paper labyrinths to chart winding and challenging courses through the woods, valleys and deserts. How like the labyrinth is the Enneagram?  How do we navigate our various connections – and to what purpose? What is the potential of parking our canoes on new and distant shores? What is to be learned from such an adventure? Life jackets not required – sunscreen optional.Â
Â
July 27, Thursday morning or July 25, Tuesday evening – Volleyball game: campers vs. counselorsÂ
How can Enneagram help you pick your team? What do you need to know? What skill set does each person possess? What is their competency? What skills do you need? As team captain – what is your competency? Skills? To create your dream team: you need folks competent at preserving, navigating, transmitting. After visiting each - break out groups give us a chance to work through the circumstances and build a team - then come together to hear each other’s suggestions and questions.   Â
Â
August 10, Thursday morning or August 8, Tuesday evening – Arts and crafts
How we get stuck – and how we can unstick ourselves. Using imaginary glue sticks – a closer look at the fine art of designing ourselves to our own advantage – and leaving out important qualities that may be most helpful. Ignoring our weakest links. Braiding – how twisted we can become – but is that also our strength? Surely several strands of plastic lace are stronger and more resilient than just one strand.Â
Â
August 17, Thursday morning or August 15, Tuesday evening –  Swimming – stay in your own lane
Make your style into a verb form. Work on recognizing and addressing the competencies of your core/home style. Supported on both sides by your wings. Learn to live in the arc of three competing and complimentary styles. Learn to use your competencies to best advantage.Â
Â
August 24, Thursday morning or August 22, Tuesday evening - Â Ping pong tournamentÂ
I recall when ping pong was a genteel game. We played to prolong play. When is that a good strategy? That changed when we saw ping pong as an Olympic sport with killer speed, unbelievable accuracy, and impossible angle shots. How has our personal ping pong game changed? Faster, more aggressive, killer instinct? Or, is collaboration a better way to advance through our lives. Practice accessing the whole Enneagram when appropriate – a strategy that is best for both competition and collaboration is possible.Â
