Your Get Out of Jail Free Card: Enneagram Keys to Unlock the Door

Remember in those early classes we all took learning the Enneagram – at least one person said, “I don’t want to be put into a box”? That often met with the response “You are already in a box. The Enneagram will help you get out” and off we went to learn the basics of this gem of wisdom. A map for our journey. A tool for our toolbox. With our lunches packed, a compass, sturdy shoes, and a backpack – off we went like Dora the Explorer.

And the adventure was amazing and still can be… yet, I wonder. Have ideas and routines that were so life-giving become a necessity? Have we settled for a comfortable box, a jail where certain ideas, phrases, bits of wisdom have lulled us into a state of complacency? The jail is comfortable enough, familiar: we are loathe to give it up.

Each style has their own model of jail or, more properly, jails that they demand.

This series will help us explore our habits, routines – our jails – and set us on the path to find our specific keys to freedom. Each session will have something for each style. We will start with the stories we tell ourselves and encourage our re-writes. We will each discover that the key to unlock our habitual jail is well within our reach. Join in!
